Vector International will be exhibiting
at MEOS (Middle East Offshore) in June (stand no. 413) and showing
its leading range of compact, lightweight pipe connection
and sealing technology - including the very latest compact flange addition. The
company will also being illustrating its 'partnership engineering' capabilities
- including its ability to design and manufacture bespoke solutions to meet specific
requirements.
MEOS will be among the first occasions on which Vector's latest compact flange
technology (the SPO compact flange) will be exhibited alongside its other leading
products, the Techlok clamp connector and Optima subsea connector. With issues
of size and weight chief concerns to operators across the globe including the
Middle East, interest in Vector's products has increased in recent years. The
connectors and flanges offer typical weight and space savings of some 70-80%
over traditional ANSI flanges. Moreover, utilising a tried-and-tested metal-to-metal,
self-energising sealing technology, the product range meets the high-level joint
integrity demands of today's oil and gas industry. Indeed, the latest compact
flange incorporates a unique no-leak sealing technology.
Vector International's partnership engineering capabilities also have much to
offer in the region. This was recently demonstrated by the development of a mobile
de-sander for a Saudi-based operator, which removed sand from pipe-work that
would otherwise have caused significant erosion and shortened production life
of the facility. Further, Vector provides advice and guidance on the application
of its products helping operators to optimise productivity.
"Our products and services are extensively used by many of the major operators
around the world and there are many opportunities for their application throughout
the Middle East, both upstream and downstream," says Ian Robinson, Vector
International's vice president marketing and sales.
With an office in Dubai heading-up its operation in the Middle East, Vector International
is well-established in the region with an in-depth knowledge of its operational
demands. Its products have been used on many projects from the supply of tees
with integral connector branches, clamps and seals for a Khuff Gas project in
Saudi Arabia, to the provision of Techlok connectors for a Zakum Crestol gas
injection project in Abu Dhabi.
"Operators and contractors need high quality, reliable solutions. With a
number of years experience of the Middle East oil and gas industry, and tried
and tested products, we're able to provide this. MEOS is an ideal opportunity
for us to talk to operators and contractors across the region to discuss how
Vector's broader engineering capabilities and compact pipe connection products
can help them meet all their connection and pressure containment needs," adds
Robinson.
