Sales Manager (Kuala Lumpur)

Vector Group is a single source supplier for the energy sector, offering complete package solutions including piping, a specialized range of compact flanges (SPO), clamp connectors (Techlok), specialty valves and subsea connectors (OPTIMA). Many years of engineering experience enable the Group to offer customers a broad range of tailor-made engineered products, each adapted and developed to specific needs. The company’s customers include wholesale traders, large engineering firms, EPC contractors and end-users such as large oil producing companies. The company operates under two divisions:

- The Piping Division: primarily delivering piping and valve solutions, and
- The Product Division: supplying compact flanges, clamp connectors, OPTIMA subsea connectors and other engineered products.

To further our growth Vector Product are looking for a Sales Manager. The position is to be based in one of our offices in KL.


Main responsibilities:- Representative for and responsible for sales in Far East – Products
- Focus on developing sales in specific countries like Indonesia/Vietnam/Philippines/Malaysia
- Expand Vector Products’s market intelligence
- Identify and develop working relationships with agents/distributors where applicable.
- Establish a solid and long-term relationship with customers
- Maintain an up-to-date sales performance record and provide scheduled performance reporting.
- Identify areas for improvement to improve sales.
- Extensive travel to countries assigned


Educational Level:- Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science, Business Administration/Marketing or equivalent.

Required Qualifications & Experienc include, but not limited to:- excellent communication skills
- good command of written and spoken English is required.
- at least 6 years of relevant sales experience in the oil & gas sector preferably piping/connector related.
- good understanding of subsea and oil & gas project execution process.
- ability to work well with people from diverse background.
- self-driven for success
- proactive and highly independent 
- proven track record in getting leads/orders and closing good deals
- must be able to understand clients needs and talk technical language
